Consul General Morales Promotes PH Tourism in HK Travel Expo

HONG KONG 27 June 2018 – Consul General Antonio A. Morales attended the opening ceremony of the 32nd International Travel Expo (ITE) Hong Kong and the 13th MICE Travel Expo at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on 14 June 2018. The two expos respectively ran on 14-17 June and 13-16 June.

ITE Hong Kong, the Territory’s only travel fair, focuses on leisure, meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibitions (MICE), and theme travels, targeting trade, professional and affluent Foreign Independent Tour needs. 

The expos featured around 670 exhibitors from 55 participating countries and regions, with around 12,000 trade and MICE visitors from Hong Kong, mainland China, and elsewhere, as well as around 90,000 public visitors.

Hong Kong Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Edward Yau Tang-wah was the opening ceremony’s official guest.

During the event, Consul General Morales networked with members of the consular corps, business community, and tourism industry stakeholders to promote the Philippines as an ideal destination for world-class gastronomy, travel accommodation and cultural experiences. END
