HONG KONG 27 June 2018 – Consul General Antonio A. Morales was one of the guests of honor at the First Pastoral Day of the Pastoral Team of the Chaplaincy for Filipino Migrants in Hong Kong, held at the Sacred Heart Canossian College, Mid-Levels, Hong Kong on 18 June 2018. The event was led by Father Jay Flandez, head of the Chaplaincy.

During his remarks, Consul General Morales recognized the work of the Pastoral Team through hospital and prison visits. He also commended the team’s commitment as the Consulate’s partners in providing psycho social support to and uplifting the spirit of Filipino inmates and resident Filipinos who are hospitalized, despite their limited rest days.

Consul General Morales also encouraged the event attendees to be responsible members of the community, and to take part in initiatives, especially on health and wellness, to make their stay in Hong Kong fruitful and productive, and to prepare them for their eventual return to the Philippines. END
