16 December 2013 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand participated in the Cultural Festival entitled “ ASEAN in Praise of the Supreme Artist” held at Parc Paragon zone, Siam Paragon Mall in Bangkok, from December 01 to 08, 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. 

The Ministry of Culture of Thailand and the Siam Paragon Mall organized the event to celebrate H.M. the King’s birthday anniversary. The event aimed to showcase the variety of performing arts from ASEAN countries and dialogue partners (China and Korea) and booth exhibitions.  The Philippines participated with a booth of Philippine lanterns and a tarpaulin of Philippine tourist destinations.  An ASEAN booth was also set up to showcase  the traditional products and artifacts that represent each ASEAN member-country.

The Novo Ecijano dance group from Cabanatuan City was among the various dance groups invited by the Ministry of Culture to perform during the eight-day event. Prof. Mario Eugenio led the Philippine folk dance group. The group was also invited to perform during the Cultural Expo held to commemorate the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit in 2011.
