16 December 2013 - The Filipino Association in Brunei (FAB), in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy and the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA), organized the Pamaskong Handog sa mga OFWs sa Brunei 2013. The event was held at the Batu Berusrat Basketball Gym on December 08.

The event included numerous raffle draws, game shows and intermission numbers, where OFWs based in Brunei were able to showcase their special talents.

The highlight of the event was an exhibition game between a team composed of PBA Legends against the Brunei national team. The PBA legends defeated the Brunei national team, scoring 92-87.

The PBA Legends Team was led by Vince Hizon, Marlou Aquino, Kenneth Duremdes, Noli Locsin and Bal David.

In her Christmas Message to the Filipino Community in Brunei,  Minister and Consul Celeste Vinzon Balatbat, Chargé d’ Affaires, a i. thanked all those who have extended support for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), particularly the Brunei Government for its vigorous efforts in bringing relief goods to the typhoon victims, and establishing a humanitarian fund on their behalf. She also provided a brief update on the developments concerning the rehabilitation efforts being done by the Philippine Government for the typhoon victims. END
