PH Mangoes, Pork BBQ, Kakanin Featured at Prague’s Embassy Food Fest

PRAGUE 03 July 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Czech Republic, led by Chargé d’affaires, a.i. Juan E. Dayang Jr., joined the “Third Festival Ambasád Food and Culture” held at Prague 6.

Gastronomy from around the world was presented by 37 participating embassies. Each participating country showcased its cuisine and local products.

The Philippine booth sold fresh mangoes, saba, native kakanin, and other Filipino culinary delights.  Market-goers lined-up for pork barbecue which were grilled on site. 

Several foreign music artists and cultural performers entertained the more 12,000 visitors until closing time.

The Festival of Embassies was borne from the successful ASEAN Food Festival, which was held annually from 2013 to 2015. A bigger event was then organized in 2016 to include more embassies.

The Festival of Embassies was organized by the Municipality of Prague 6 in cooperation with the Farmers’ Market in Kulaťák, and was held under the auspices of the Czech Chamber of Commerce. END
