Netherlands’ Largest Asian Supermarket Chain Launches PH Food Promotion

THE HAGUE 04 July 2018 – As part of the 120th Philippine Independence Day celebrations in the Netherlands, the Philippine Embassy in The Hague witnessed the launch of the Philippine Food Promotion event at Amazing Oriental Supermarket located in Ypenburg, The Hague.

In his remarks, Ambassador to the Netherlands Jaime Victor B. Ledda welcomed the initiative of Amazing Oriental to promote Philippine food products imported and produced by Filipino entrepreneurs catering to the Filipino market in the Netherlands.

At present, Filipino brands such as Mama Sita’s, UFC, Datu Puti, Golden Goose Rice Sticks Bihon, Florence Coconut Gel and Nata de Coco, and Rebisco Crackers are among several food products produced and sold in Amazing Oriental’s branches throughout the Netherlands.

Locally manufactured products such as Luneta Ice Cream and Aling Alyssa Hotdogs are also being sold and produced in Amazing Oriental, the largest Asian supermarket chain in the Netherlands. 

Mr. Martin Chan, Managing Director of Amazing Oriental, expressed optimism that the Filipino Community in the Netherlands will not only find a taste of home in Amazing Oriental, but that the Dutch and expatriate communities will discover and welcome quality Philippine products and cuisine. END
