Kamerata Klassika Manila Makes International Debut in Xiamen, China

XIAMEN 04 July 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen organized a concert by the Kamerata Klassika Manila (KKM) at SM Lifestyle–Xiamen on 10 June 2018, as part of its commemoration of the120th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine independence.

The KKM is a newly formed performance troupe making its international debut in Xiamen. The Kamerata is composed of veteran young singers who have performed in many corners of the globe, including international festivals, and noteworthy opera productions. The KKM have also concertized in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, South America, and the United States, showcasing that Filipino talent is undeniably world class.

The KKM’s visit to Xiamen is a joint undertaking of the Consulate General under its cultural diplomacy thrusts, with the assistance of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Philippine Madrigal Singers, KKM’s mother group.

Brought together by their shared love and passion for choral music, Kamerata blends together the exquisite voices of sopranos Stefanie Quintin and Krystl Buesa, countertenor Kyle Tingzon, tenor Ervin Lumauag, and bass Nil’s Flores. END
