PH Consul General Attends Filipino Pancit Fest in Wisconsin
CHICAGO 05 July 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago supported the 2018 Philippine Independence Day celebration of the Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Foundation (PCCCF), held at the Philippine Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 16 June 2018.
Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin delivered an inspirational message, encouraging the Filipino Community leaders to take care of the Filipino-American youth and have them to be the next leaders of the community, and ensure that they are engage in various Filipino Community activities to help them understand better the Filipino culture and heritage.
The day-long activity, which was attended by nearly 150 people, was attended by diverse communities in Wisconsin.
The highlight of the day is the one-of-a-kind noodle tasting competition that objectively enables the best version of noodles or pancit, to be selected by impartial judging and attendee’s popular vote.
Since its inception in 2000, the PCCCF aims to provide the Filipino-American Community in Wisconsin a venue to foster unity and solidarity in the promotion of the Philippine culture and heritage. END
