Filipino Talent Shines in LGBTQ Choir Concert in Hong Kong

HONG KONG 05 July 2018 – Filipino talent shone through during the concert “Unleash” of The Harmonics, Hong Kong's First LGBTQ Choir, on 09 June 2018 at the Caritas Kowloon Community Hall in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Filipino choir members of The Harmonics include Brenda Alegre, Mae Lim, Josh Lemuel Reyes, and Andrei Reyes.

Filipino artists Andrew Mark Baris, who impressed X Factor-Australia judges in 2016, and The Unsung Heroes, a Hong Kong-based choir composed of Filipino household service workers, were the concert’s guest artists.

The event, which was held in celebration of Pride Month in June, was attended by Philippine Consulate General representatives, as part of its advocacy to support gender equality initiatives under the auspices of its Gender and Development Program. END

The Unsung Heroes, a Hong Kong-based choir composed of Filipino household service workers, were guest artists during the concert of The Harmonics, Hong Kong's First LGBTQ Choir, on 9 June 2018 at the Caritas Kowloon Community Hall in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The event was held in celebration of Pride Month.
