PH Pitches New Clark City at Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong

HONG KONG 06 July 2018 – The Philippines took the opportunity to make a pitch about investment opportunities available at a massive urban development project by the national government just two hours away from Manila, at Hong Kong’s principal event linked to China’s Belt and Road Initiative on 28 June 2018.
Bases Conversion and Development Authority Executive Vice President Aileen Anunciacion R. Zosa talked about New Clark City in Tarlac Province in Central Luzon, located just over 100 kilometers away from the Philippine capital, during the Project Pitching Session on Transport and Logistics Infrastructure of the Belt and Road Summit.
The Summit was organized by the Hong Kong Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
New Clark City is a large-scale project is being implemented under the auspices of the government’s “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure agenda.
It is envisioned to be a green, intelligent and socially inclusive metropolis, which will feature state of the art transport and logistics infrastructure that would be conducive for investments and easily accessible to the public.
Zosa also noted the expansion of Clark International Airport passenger terminal, the Manila-Clark Railway, and the Subic-Clark Cargo Railway.
The Project Pitching Session on Transport and Logistics Infrastructure also included speakers from Georgia, Vietnam, Indonesia, France, and Poland. END
