Filipino Restaurant Week Winners in NY Take Roundtrip Tickets to Manila, Culinary Tour

NEW YORK 09 July 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in New York, together with partners Department of Tourism New York, Philippine Airlines, Tanduay Rum,and GMA TV, capped the successful Fourth Filipino Restaurant Week with an awarding event for the social media campaign winners, held at the Philippine Center last 29 June 2018.
The grand prize winners were Instagrammer Cecilia Angela Lee and press member Christian Gollayan. They both won roundtrip tickets from New York to Manila via Philippine Airlines. Additionally, Cecilia will go on a free culinary tour courtesy of DOT New York, and a studio tour and television appearances from GMA TV
Food blogger Emmeline Robles received Barclays tickets from Tanduay Rum, Maria Benvenuti bagged a Tama gift certificate, while Leizel Lolegario took home a Talde Gift certificate. Dennis Duran and @akadyee, along with all major prize winners got Tanduay Gold Rum.
The winners were selected through their Instagram posts of their visits to the 24 participating FRW restaurants, using the #ExplorePhilippineFood hashtag.
The social media campaign increased engagement for Philippine tourism and Filipino cuisine in the DOT New York’s and the Consulate General’s online platforms. END
