PH Embassy in Yangon Holds Consular Mission, Filipino Film Showing in Andaman Islands

YANGON 11 July 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Yangon conducted a consular outreach mission on 05 July 2018 in the Andaman Islands, one of the regions with the highest concentration of Filipinos in Myanmar next to the capital Yangon.
The consular mission—the second mission to be performed by the Embassy for the year, and the first in the southern part of Myanmar—was held at the Grand Andaman Hotel.
More than 50 applicants availed of various consular services, including acknowledgement of contracts, notarials, and passport renewals.
The Embassy also conducted its first-ever Gender and Development activity for the Filipinos in Andaman featuring two films: “Sonata” by Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes, and “Ano ang Kulay ng mga Nakalimutang Pangarap” by Jose Javier Reyes. END
