PH Ambassador Discusses Humanitarian Work with Qatar Charity Chair

DOHA 12 July 2018 – Philippine Ambassador to Qatar Alan L. Timbayan called on Sheikh Hamad Nasser Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Charity, to discuss future engagements of the Philippines and Qatar in humanitarian and developmental efforts, and other matters of mutual concern.

The Chairman expressed that the organization is keen on working with the Philippines in developmental work given the close relations of the two countries.

During the first week of Ramadan this year, Qatar Charity co-organized a community iftar attended by hundreds of Filipino Muslims.

Qatar Charity is a non-government organization for the development of communities in need, ranging from disaster relief to income generation initiatives, education, and health care. END
