PH Embassy in Brazil Conducts Consular Mission in São Paolo

BRASILIA 19 July 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil held a consular outreach mission at the Nossa Senhora da Paz Parish in Liberdade, São Paulo, Brazil from 14 to 15 July 2018.

The mobile consular team was able to process 33 passport applications, 16 Overseas Absentee Voting registrations, and three civil registration reports and notarials.

The Filipino Community also took opportunity to discuss employment and labor concerns, and documentation requirements during the outreach. END

The Filipino Community in São Paulo gathers every third Sunday of the month for an English Mass and birthday celebration feasts at the Salão do Eventos of Missao Paz. This was also attended by some Brazilian and other guests.

The consular team also met with Father Paolo Parise, coordinator of Missão Paz, who regularly coordinates with the FilCom leaders in São Paolo for the mobile consular missions and actively helps migrant workers, particularly Filipinos, within the area.
