SEOUL 20 July 2018 – Philippine Ambassador to Korea Raul S. Hernandez led the opening of Multiculture Museum in Seoul’s special exhibition “Teas from Around the World” on 05 July 2018.
Speaking on behalf of the Embassies that participated in the exhibit, Ambassador Hernandez shared that although the Philippines is not known as a tea-producing-and-drinking country, Filipinos have imbibed the habit of drinking tea for its health benefits.
For the exhibition, the Philippine Embassy in Seoul, South Korea displayed various teas by Philippine tea brand Tsaa Laya. The teas were complemented by the tea sets created by ceramicist Lanelle Abueva-Fernando, whose handmade stoneware ceramics incorporated volcanic ash glaze from Mt. Pinatubo.
The “Teas from Around the World” exhibit at the Multiculture Museum will run until 31 August 2018. END
