PH Embassy in Yangon Conducts Consular Mission in Myanmar’s Second Largest City

YANGON 30 July 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Yangon, led by Ambassador Eduardo E. Kapunan Jr., held a consular outreach mission at the Eastern Palace Hotel in Mandalay on 22 July 2018.

The mission is part of the Philippine Government's efforts to bring its various services closer to the Filipinos.

The Embassy also conducted the first Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) in Mandalay, the second largest city in the country. The PAOS was conducted to educate newly-arrived Filipinos in Myanmar on relevant immigration and labor laws and regulations, and Myanmar customs and culture that will help them adjust to living in the country.
