PH Embassy in Tokyo Conducts Consular Mission in Shizuoka

TOKYO 31 July 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo brought consular services closer to the Filipino Community through an outreach mission to Shizuoka City in Shizuoka Prefecture on 14-15 July 2018. 

The Embassy team, composed of Vice Consul Andrea B. Leycano, Rodel Lomibao, Rio Alcantara, Jahreel Balaoro, Malou Komatsu, Frances Komesu, and Quimar Yazima processed a total of 314 passport applications and 88 non-passport consular services, such as notarials, reports of birth, reports of marriage, and consultations during the two-day outreach at the Granship Shizuoka Arts and Convention Center.

With a population of 14,251 Filipinos as of July 2017, Shizuoka prefecture hosts one of the largest Filipino Communities living in the 19 prefectures under the Embassy’s jurisdiction. 

The Embassy will conduct outreach missions to Iwate, Hokkaido, and Okinawa for the remainder of 2018. END
