PNP Officers Complete Foreign Gov’t Officials Chinese Class at Huaqiao University

XIAMEN 02 August 2018 – Four Philippine National Police (PNP) officers successfully completed the 13^th Foreign Government Officials Chinese Class 2018 at Huaqiao University Chinese Language and Culture College in Xiamen City on 04 July 2018.

This year’s class was the fourth batch from the Philippines, and was represented by PNP officers led by Police Regional Office 13 Police Chief Inspector (P/CINSP) Yeelyne Lacpao-Saligumba, P/CINSP Judith Z. Laguitao and Civil Security Group P/CINSP Roan Marie D. Bascugin, and Maritime Group Police Senior Inspector Ariel V. Saltin.

Government representatives totaling 125 from Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Suriname, and the Philippines participated in the 10-month Chinese language class from September 2017 to July 2018.

Atty. Cedrick Gayona Train, PNP Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development Camp Crame, represented the agency during the graduation ceremony.

Also in attendance were Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen’s Cultural Officer Reigfred P. Albello, and PNP Police Senior Superintendent Erson U. Digal.

The Consulate General expressed its full support and cooperation to work with Huaqiao University in increasing and widening the participation of Philippine representatives in the program, and conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Philippine Government to Huaqiao University recognition for its firm commitment in its foreign language training program, which serves as a valuable platform for people-to-people contacts between the Philippines and China.
