LOS ANGELES 06 August 2018 – Consul General Adelio Angelito S. Cruz joins ASEAN Consuls General based in Los Angeles in welcoming the new chief of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) at a luncheon hosted by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles at the Ocean Seafood Restaurant in Chinatown, Downtown Los Angeles on 25 July 2018.
Chief Michel Moore was unanimously confirmed to his position by the Los Angeles City Council on 27 June 2018. He served at nearly every level of the Department, rising through the ranks of police officer, detective, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, commander, and deputy chief. He has overseen operations and officers in the Rampart Area, the San Fernando Valley, and West Los Angeles.
Over the course of his career, the police official played a central role in matters ranging from counter-terrorism and the use of force to fiscal, personnel, training, and other management issues that are front and center in the Department’s work and success. END
