19 December 2013 - The first phase of the Program for Senior Public Managers (PSPM) for Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), an initiative of the Government of the Philippines under the Initiatives for ASEAN Integration (IAI), officially ended last December 06 at the National University of Laos (NUOL).
The first phase of the PSPM, conducted by professors from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), is an intensive three-week course on Development Management and Leadership which provides a systematic and professional introduction to development management with emphasis on managing and leading organizations.
At the graduation ceremony, Philippine Ambassador to Lao PDR H.E. Maria Lumen B. Isleta, Vice President of NUOL Prof. Dr. Somsy Gnophanxay and AIM Professors Manuel de Vera and Antonio Lopez presented the Certificates of Completion to the participants. In his remarks, Prof. Lopez congratulated the participants and expressed hope that they will be able to apply the lessons that they have acquired from the course.
Mr. Khounmy Phommanimith, Director General of the Institute for Educational Administration Development, Ministry of Education and Sports conveyed the appreciation of Lao PDR to the Philippine Government and the AIM for its full support in the capacity building efforts of its officials. Mr. Nantha Vongmachanh, the appointed class president, gave his testimonial and thanked the AIM professors for the excellent conduct of the program. END
