PH Women’s Softball Team Hailed as 2018 Pony World Series Champions

LOS ANGELES 09 August 2018 – The Philippine Women’s Softball team, accompanied by its head coach Randy Dizer, paid a courtesy call on Consul General to Los Angeles Adelio Angelito S. Cruz on 03 August 2018 at the Consulate General.

The Philippine Women’s Softball Team, more popularly known as the “Big City Softbelles,” won the PONY World Series 18-U held from 23 to 29 July 2018, in Hemet, California. 

The Philippine team defeated the blue chip team Central Hemet Xplosion in a 5-1 finale, to retain the PONY World Series 18-U crown for the second straight year.

The Big City Softbelles are backed by Manila City Mayor Joseph Estrada, International Container Terminal Services Inc., and HMR Trading House. END
