Project Saysay Posters to be Unveiled in Egypt
CAIRO 13 August 2018 – Ten Project Saysay posters that feature portraits of great Filipino historical figures will be exhibited at the Pinoy! Filipino Restaurant in Cairo, Egypt from 17 to 23 August 2018.
Project Saysay is a Manila-based and youth-led advocacy, which aims to disseminate relevant and inspiring posters that will help make Philippine history relevant and engaging to Filipinos around the world.
The portraits of the Filipino historical personalities were painted by Mark Villanueva.
Since its establishment in 2013, Project Saysay has distributed 3,666 posters to 1,755 classrooms, offices, and libraries across 171 institutions in the Philippines and abroad. The posters bear the words of wisdom of great Filipinos.
The Philippine Embassy in Cairo wishes to share the artistic and educational creations to the Filipino Community in Egypt, in celebration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa and the Buwan ng Kasaysayan in August.
