VANCOUVER 16 August 2018 – Representatives from the Multilingual Orientation Service Association for Immigrant Communities (MOSAIC) called on Consul General to Vancouver Maria Andrelita S. Austria at her office to introduce their agency and present their various services to the Consulate General.
MOSAIC is one of the largest non-profit settlement organizations in Canada, which has been serving immigrant and refugee communities in Greater Vancouver for the past 40 years from its 26 client-accessible sites. It is funded by the federal government, as well as city and provincial governments.
Their services include settlement assistance, English language training, employment programs, interpretation and translation services, counselling services, and community outreach for families, including children, youth and seniors. It likewise offers services for the LGBTQ community and Temporary Foreign Workers (TFW).
With the recent addition of the TFW program under its directives, MOSAIC has become an active and reliable partner of the Consulate General in assisting Filipino workers while routinely coordinating with Filipinos in distress who do not fall within their mandate to assist. END
