PH Joins ASEAN Dhaka Committee’s Celebration of 51st ASEAN Anniversary

DHAKA 20 August 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka joined the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) heads of mission, diplomatic officials, and staff in commemorating the 51st founding anniversary of ASEAN at the Indonesian Embassy grounds on 08 August 2018.

The ASEAN Dhaka Committee (ADC) organized a flag-raising ceremony and food festival, with Bangladesh Minister for Planning AHM Mustafa Kamal as chief guest.

In his message, ADC Chairperson and Myanmar Ambassador to Bangladesh Lwin Oo highlighted the importance of the ASEAN committees in non-ASEAN countries in supporting the ASEAN Community Vision 2025.

Members of the diplomatic corps, Bangladesh foreign ministry officers, and representatives of business and media were invited to the food festival which followed the flag-raising ceremony. END
