PH Embassy in Brunei Promotes PH Participation at 2013 Halal Showcase

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN 22 August 2018 – Charge d’ Affaires, a.i Pete Raymond V. Delfin met with Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) and President Dr. Hj Kamaruddin DSP Hj Talib and Ghanim International Corporation Sdn. Bhd. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Nur Rahman on 01 August 2018 to promote the participation of the Philippines in the Brunei Halal Showcase (BruHAS) 2018.

The Embassy officials discussed with the BMCCI the general overview of trade relations between the Philippines and Brunei as well as recent developments in the industry sectors of both countries.

Dr. Hj Talib expressed his strong interest to meet with the representatives of the Philippine companies participating in BruHAS 2018. He further mentioned that the members of business chamber should explore opportunities for partnerships and joint ventures with these Philippine companies.

During the meeting with Ghanim International Dr. Rahman and Chargé d’Affairs Delfin exchanged views on the halal business process. Dr. Rahman inquired about Philippine halal products that Ghanim could potentially distribute in Brunei and its export markets. END
