PH Consulate General in NY Participates in Charity Golf Tournament

NEW YORK 24 August 2018 – As part of its ongoing efforts to engage Filipino-Americans in the United States Northeast Region through sports, the Philippine Consulate General in New York’s staff and family members joined in the Second Annual Kids Philippines Charity Golf Tournament at the Pequot Golf Club in Stonington, Connecticut on 11 August 2018.

The Consulate General personnel participated in the said tournament to support Kids Philippines Inc. (KPI) in its aim to help 22 public schools and more than 1,000 students throughout the Philippines. Their participation in the tournament strengthened its ties with the community and helped the KPI achieve its objectives to support under privileged kids in the Philippines.

KPI provides school supplies, backpacks and assistance for school fees to deserving young students. KPI also provides assistance for various communities affected by natural disasters.

Other participants of the tournament came from Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachuset, New Jersey and New Hampshire. END
