PH Exporters Highlight PH Products, Services in Brunei Trade Fair

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN 31 August 2018 – Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Pete Raymond V. Delfin joined representatives of Philippine companies during their Business Networking and Matching (B2B) Session in the Brunei Halal Showcase (BruHAS) 2018 held at the International Convention Centre on 11 August 2018.
Government representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture (DA), and the Zamboanga City Special Economic Zone Authority (ZamboEcozone) also participated in the event.
The Philippine companies which attended the B2B Session included Altertrade Philippines, C and H Cosmetic Industry, Castillejos Agri-Farms, DOXO Trading; Edna and Rebecca's Banana Chips & Coated Peanut, Fruits of Life, Pasciolco International, Stalder Laboratories, and Year Luck Food & Industrial Corporation.
During the networking session, DTI Export Marketing Bureau Halal Section Head Albino M. Ganchero, and DA National Coordinator Dr. Norodin A. Kuit met BMC Food Industries Sdn. Bhd. Manager Tan Too Yeo, a well-known local manufacturer of meat products in Brunei Darussalam, and officials from Brunei’s Agriculture and Agrifood Department to discuss prospects on sourcing Halal meats and food products from the Philippines.
Director Jose J. Suan and Ms. Ma. Divina A. Mato of ZamboEcozone also received queries from local company Mee Kilang Enterprise, manufacturer of Halal noodles in Brunei, on possible investment projects in ZamboEcozone.
The Philippine companies likewise received inquiries from local companies participating in BruHAS and visitors during the B2B Session. END
