Secretary Alan Presents DFA’s Best Organization Award to PH Mission to ASEAN

JAKARTA 03 September 2018 — Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano symbolically presented the DFA Best Organization Award to the personnel of the Philippine Permanent Mission to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The award was given in recognition of Mission’s “indefatigable commitment and dedicated efforts during the Philippine chairmanship of ASEAN in 2017,” and was received by Philippine Permanent Representative to ASEAN Elizabeth P. Buensuceso during a ceremony in Manila on 20 June 2018.         

In her remarks, Ambassador Buensuceso underscored that while she—as Permanent Representative to ASEAN—is one of the faces of the Philippines’ engagement in ASEAN the members of her team were a crucial ingredient to the success of the Philippine chairmanship.

Secretary Cayetano thanked the officers and staff of the Mission for their excellent work and dedicated service.

The Mission is composed of 12 Foreign Service Officers and Staff, supported by a lean roster of Indonesia local hires. END
