ANKARA 03 September 2018 — The Philippine Embassy in Ankara served close to 75 Filipinos in Antalya, located 490 kilometers from the capital in southwest Turkey, in a consular mission on 05 August 2018.

Services offered included the processing of applications and release of passports, application and release of Embassy IDs, notarizations, National Bureau of Investigation Applications, overseas voting registration and cases of Assistance-To-Nationals cases.

A meeting with leaders of Filipino Community in Antalya was also held to discuss the latest developments in the Philippines, including President Rodrigo Duterte’s recent State of the Nation Address, during which he cited the rights and welfare of overseas Filipinos as the government’s foremost foreign policy concern.

The Embassy also met with Filipinos employed by Turkey’s MaxxRoyal Resorts, an exclusive vacation destination hotel in two locations in Antalya.

The Filipinos, who work mostly as chefs, proudly reported that the hotel management are much impressed with the Filipinos’ work ethics and skills and, thus, has employed close to 40 Filipinos. END
