PH Textiles Showcased at the Asian Textile Exhibition in Jakarta

JAKARTA 04 September 2018 — The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta, in coordination with the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA), takes part in the 2018 Asian Textile Exhibition at the Jakarta Textile Museum from 09 August to 09 September 2018.
The Philippines’ baro’t saya in piña fiber and the T’nalak provided by the NCCA to the Embassy were highlighted in the exhibit.
The exhibit “Shared Roots Diverse Growth: Celebrating Asia’s Textile Traditions” is organized as part of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta from 18 August 2018 to 02 September 2018.
Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, heads of diplomatic missions, and representatives from the 22 participating Asian countries joined the opening ceremony of the textile exhibit on 09 August 2018. END
