PH Consulate General in Calgary Launches Winter Escapade 6

CALGARY 06 September 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Calgary has officially launched Winter Escapade 6, a special tourism promotion package that will bring Filipino-Canadians and Canadian nationals to the various exciting tourism destinations in Philippines on 28 January to 04 February 2019.

At the launch event at Max’s Restaurant in Calgary on 30 August, Consul General Gilberto G.B. Asuque described Winter Escapade 6 as the best travel package deal to the Philippines, as he urged the audience to take advantage of it.

Deputy Consul General Zaldy Patron gave a presentation on the program, itinerary and rates offered by Rajah Tours International, and the Philippine Airlines’ special promotion for Winter Escapade 6 participants.

The videos of the tour held last year and El Nido were also shown during the event.

For the sixth edition of Winter Escapade, participants will be brought to Manila, Taal and Nasugbu in Batangas, and El Nido in Palawan.

The Manila leg will include visits to places like Rizal Monument, Intramuros, San Agustin Church, University of Santo Tomas Museum and Metropolitan Museum, to relive the charms of the nation’s capital and discover its rich history.

The visit to Taal, on the other hand, will include a stop at the Basilica of St. Martin de Tours, the largest church in the Philippines and in Asia, and some ancestral houses in the city.

Nasugbu will give participants a chance to enjoy its famous beaches and do cove hopping. 

Finally, the tour of El Nido, world-famous for its white sand beaches, coral reefs and limestone cliffs, will give participants a first-hand experience why this place was selected by Condé Nast Traveler as the fourth top beach in the world in 2017.

Participants of Winter Escapade 6 will be billeted in the finest hotels such as the Makati Shangri-La in Metro Manila, Pico Sands Hotel in Nasugbu, and in Seda Hotel, Casa Kalaw, Balai Adlao and Hotel Covo in El Nido.

Registration fees for the tour range from CAD1,503.00 to CAD2,432.00, depending on the type of room and the type of hotel (for El Nido) they will select.

The fees already include domestic airfare (Manila-El Nido-Manila), land and boat transfers, food and travel insurance in the Philippines.

English-speaking tour guides will accompany the participants, who will have traffic and medical escorts going to their various destinations.

Availing of this special package will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. The deadline for registration and full payment is set on 15 September 2018.
