PH Ambassador Supports Search for 2018 Filipino-Canadian Talent

OTTAWA 07 September 2018 – In support of Filipino talents in Canada, Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia attended the grand finale Season 3 of the “2018 Search for Filipino-Canadian Talent” held in Montreal, Quebec on 18 August 2018. 

The talent search was spearheaded by the Filipino Canadian Artist Association of Quebec (FCAAQ), led by its founding president Michelle Vargas-Lao. 

Ambassador Garcia also met National Assembly of Quebec Member of David Bernbaum during the event where she expressed appreciation for his support to the Community.

During the event, the Ambassador noted the valuable contributions of Filipinos to the Canadian society and underscored that the event showcased the richness of Philippine culture.

She congratulated the organizers for fostering Filipino talents, and maintained the Philippine Embassy in Canada’s resolve to support similar activities of the entire Filipino Community.

She noted that Filipino Canadians are becoming more accomplished in the arts, with their talents contributing to the multicultural diversity of Canada. END
