PH Embassy in Tehran Hosts ASEAN Ladies Circle Coffee Morning

TEHRAN 10 September 2018 – Brunei turned over the ASEAN Ladies Circle (ALC) Chairmanship to the Philippines during the ALC Coffee Morning hosted by the Philippine Embassy in Tehran on 03 September 2018.

The Philippine Embassy will act as chair of the ALC for a period of one year.

Attended by around 40 guests from the Embassies of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, native Philippine dishes and delicacies were served during the coffee morning. The event featured a leche flan making session actively participated in by spouses of ASEAN Ambassador and other ALC ladies.

The coffee morning provided also the opportunity to welcome the new members as well as bid farewell to the departing members of the ALC, including those from Vietnam and the Philippines.

The ALC in Tehran was established in 2016 to foster friendly and closer relationship among the ladies of the ASEAN Embassies in Iran. It organizes activities that disseminate information on the socio-cultural aspects of ASEAN countries to cultivate a better understanding of ASEAN in the Islamic Republic. END
