PH Consulate General in Guam Returns to Marshall Islands for Consular Outreach Mission

A consular team from the Philippine Consulate General in Agana, Guam, provides passport renewal and other consular services to Filipinos on Majuro Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The outreach mission was held at Kibedrikdrik Conference Room of the Robert Reimers Hotel in Majuro from 30 to 31 August 2018. AGANA 10 September 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Agana returned to Majuro in the Republic of the Marshall Islands to conduct a consular outreach mission, first in nearly two years.

The consular team, which was led by Consul Mark Francis C. Hamoy, provided passport renewal and other consular services at Robert Reimers Hotel from 30 to 31 August 2018.

Accompanying Consul Hamoy on this outreach mission were Ms. Annabelle M. Oviedo-Lavarez, Ms. Maria Liza A. Manarin and Mr. Ferdinand E. Villamor.

A total of 171 individuals applied for renewal of their passports and one former Filipino completed the requirements for the re-acquisition of his Filipino citizenship after having been naturalized as a Marshallese citizen. A total of 135 voters were also registered for the 2019 elections.

Consul Dr. Alexander Z. Piñano, a.h. and volunteers from the Filipino Association of the Marshall Islands (FAMI) extended full support and assistance to the consular team. END
