PRC Conducts Special Licensure in Singapore

SINGAPORE 10 September 2018 — The Philippine Embassy in Singapore, through the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) recently conducted the first Special Professional Licensure Exam (SPLE) in cooperation with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on 24 to 26 August 2018 at the Philippine Bayanihan Centre.
The exams, covering 14 professions such as nursing, engineering, veterinary medicine, among others, elicited a positive response from the Filipino Community, with over 100 OFWs based in Singapore taking part in the exams.
During their call on the Embassy, Consul General Vic Dimagiba encouraged the PRC and POLO to continue with this program in the future to provide opportunities for Filipino nationals based abroad in acquiring the necessary professional certifications that they need back in the Philippines. END
