SINGAPORE 11 September 2018 – Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Joseph Del Mar Yap visited the Philippine booth at the 12th Medical Fair Asia 2018, held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore on 25 August 2018.
The participants include six companies involved in the health care information management industry, namely Dynaquest, Pointwest, Hinduja Global Systems, AWS, Lifetrack Medical Systems, and Edulynx Corp., and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP).
During his visit, Ambassador Yap was briefed on the continuing growth of the healthcare information management field in the country. This is due in part to the sizeable number of medically-trained professionals in the Philippines who can provide various services to the diverse healthcare sector such as medical transcription, clinical data management, telemedicine, remote patient triage among others, in such diverse markets such as the United States, and Japan.
The Ambassador was also informed that the Philippine participation in this fair was an opportunity to explore possibilities of growing their services to other markets such as Singapore.
Medical Fair Asia is Southeast Asia's most definitive event for the medical and healthcare industry. The 12th installment of the international exhibition on hospital, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical and rehabilitation equipment and supplies continues its proud tradition of show-on-show-growth, providing the perfect platform to discover the latest industry innovations, to network and do business in one convenient location.
