Consul General Asuque Meets with MP Pat Kelly

CALGARY 11 September 2018 — Philippine Consul General in Calgary Gilberto Asuque paid a courtesy visit on Mr. Pat Kelly, Member of Parliament (MP) for Calgary Rocky Ridge at the latter’s Constituency Office in Calgary on 15 August 2018. 

Consul General Asuque discussed with MP Kelly the declaration of the Philippine Heritage Month in Alberta every June of each year, which highlights the important contributions of the Filipinos in enriching the political, economic, social and cultural fabric of Alberta.

Possible cooperation between the Philippines and Alberta in the areas of labor and employment, energy cooperation, and smart city partnership were also discussed.

MP Kelly was elected in October 2015 and is currently the Shadow Minister for National Revenue of Canada. END
