Chef Jordy Navarra Showcases Filipino Cuisine in Macau

MACAU 12 September 2018 – Chef Jordy Navarra of the critically acclaimed restaurant Toyo Eatery featured Filipino cuisine through an eight-course and five-course dinner menu at Galaxy Macau’s Glasshouse on 07 and 08 September 2018.
The menu included Chef Navarra’s take on some Filipino classics like Bicol Express, Nilupak, and Ube with Latik. The majority of the dinner items, however, consisted of the chef’s modern creations.
These innovative dishes reflected the Filipino palate through using familiar flavors and utilizing Filipino ingredients from different regions of the country. The exclusive set dinner was warmly received and was enjoyed by diners.
Philippine Consul General to Macau Lilybeth R. Deapera supported the event and expressed hopes that events highlighting Filipino gastronomy are held in Macau more often. She also expressed her appreciation to hotel chain Galaxy Macau for the opportunity to highlight Filipino cuisine through the unique menu. END
