PH Embassy in Bangladesh Conducts Consular Outreach Mission in Maldives

DHAKA 13 September 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka conducted its second mobile consular mission in Maldives at the Office of the Philippine Honorary Consul in Malé on 06 to 07 September 2018.

The mobile Embassy team, headed by Third Secretary and Vice-Consul LV I. De Guzman, processed passport renewals and passport validity extensions for the Filipino Community in Maldives. A total of 109 consular transactions were served.

The team also received and processed 59 applications for the registration of overseas absentee voters for the 2019 Philippine senatorial elections, as well as requests for reactivation of overseas voting records and transfer of records from the Philippines and other Foreign Service Posts.

The outreach mission is part of the efforts by the Department of Foreign Affairs to reach out to overseas Filipinos, providing assistance to Filipino nationals and consular services worldwide. END
