PH Embassy in Mexico Promotes PH as Leisure, MICE Destination

MEXICO 20 September 2018 – With a view of opening a channel of communication between the Philippines and key tourism players in Mexico, the Philippine Embassy in Mexico City—led by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Ma. Carmela Teresa A. Cabreira, and Commercial Counsellor Vichael Angelo D. Roaring—assisted visiting officials of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) in the organization of a Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions (MICE) sales presentation and networking luncheon on 06 September 2018.
In her brief remarks, Chargé d’Affaires Cabreira strongly encouraged the participants to include the Philippines in their country offerings, highlighting the shared history and culture between the Philippines and Mexico.
During the sales presentation, TPB representatives highlighted the country’s advantages such as hospitality, professionalism, rich culture, history and natural beauty, and its capability to host conventions, tradeshows and other large events.
TPB also cited the services they could offer the Mexican MICE market such as reception, liaison services, site inspection, tour arrangements, and itinerary planning. END
