PH Consulate General in Manado Conducts Self-Defense, Fire, Earthquake Safety Awareness Trainings

MANADO 01 October 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Manado, in collaboration with the North Sulawesi Regional Police and Manado City Fire Department, conducted “Women Empowerment through Self-Defense, and Fire and Earthquake Safety Awareness Training Workshop” at the Consulate General on 22 September 2018.
The activity aimed to equip individuals, particularly women, the skills and tactics on how to defend and protect oneself during aggressive situations. It also intends to raise awareness about fire and earthquake safety to protect life and prevent injury.
The resource speakers gave the participants an overview of the training, which was followed by demonstration of self-defense skills, and simulation of fire and earthquake drill. END
