23 December 2013 - Philippine Consul General in New York Mario L. de Leon, Jr. (seated, center) and Madame Eleanor De Leon (seated, 2nd from left) hosted a year-end reception for the members of the Fil-Am Press Club of New York at the Philippine House last December 17. The evening included an oath-taking ceremony for the newly-elected officers led by Monette Rivera (seated, 2nd from right), followed by introductions among new members, Christmas caroling and gift giving. The Consul General briefed the media of the Friends of Filcom’s Build A Shelter Project which, in partnership with Gawad Kalinga, aims to rebuild the devastated towns in Central Visayas after typhoon Yolanda, one village at a time.
