PH Joins Anti-Chemical Weapons Training

THE HAGUE 01 October 2018 – The Philippine National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention/Anti-Terrorism Council, represented by Mr. Vene Seane Aljas, joined the representatives of the other 30 member states of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in the advanced OPCW training course held in The Hague on 10-14 September 2018.

The training aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the procedures concerning declarations and inspections obligations.

Philippine Permanent Representative to the OPCW and Ambassador to the Netherlands Jaime Victor B. Ledda met with Mr. Aljas at the Philippine Chancery on 10 and 14 September 2018.

They discussed priorities towards Philippine full implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention and mainstreaming of chemical weapons issues in the country were taken up. END
