PH Consulate General in Dubai Repatriates 900 Filipinos

DUBAI REPAT

DUBAI 02 October 2018 – The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai assisted in the repatriation of around 900 Filipinos since the start of the amnesty program of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 01 August 2018.

The latest batch of 25 male, 81 female and four minors arrived in the country on 24 September 2018, the sixth batch of overseas Filipino repatriates.

The Department of Foreign Affairs, through the Office of the Undersecretary of Migrant Workers Affairs, extends “all-out” support to Filipinos availing of the Amnesty Program including shouldering their airfare to the Philippines and immigrant overstaying fees as well as giving US $100 financial assistance to each Filipino repatriated.

Consul General in Dubai Paul Raymund P. Cortes urges all Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates who have overstayed their visas to avail of the Amnesty Program of the UAE government and to visit the Consulate General at the earliest opportunity in order for it to facilitate the processing of necessary consular documents before the deadline on 31 October 2018.
