PH Embassy in Oman Conducts Consular Outreach in Salalah

MUSCAT 05 October 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Muscat conducted another consular outreach to the Filipino Community in Salalah at the InterCity Hotel on 28 September 2018.
The consular outreach team processed 104 passport applications and 34 other consular services such as authentication, notarization and certification of documents, registration of birth, and NBI Clearance applications.
There were also 83 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who applied for, reactivated, and transferred their overseas voter’s registration.
The participation of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office-Muscat in the consular outreach also enabled 27 OFWs to renew their membership in the Overseas Filipino Welfare Administrative, as well as the processing of applications for overseas employment certificate, and verification of contracts.
Salalah is the second largest city in Oman with an estimated population of 375,000. The Embassy endeavors to organize a consular outreach every quarter to service the needs of the estimated 10,000 Filipinos residing in Salalah. END
