PH Embassy Graces International Gastronomy Village

PARIS 09 October 2018 — The Philippines was one of 60 countries represented in the international gastronomy village of the French government’s festival highlighting local and international cuisine.
Ambassador to France Ma. Theresa Lazaro graced the International Gastronomy Village, an event that was part of the 2018 Fête de la Gastronomie on 23 September 2018.
The Philippine booth showcased some Filipino traditional cuisine and notable street foods and was erected and managed by the members of the Filipino community in Paris.
Customers who visited the Philippine booth were introduced to, sampled, and enjoyed Filipino fares such as kaldereta, kare-kare, tocino, sisig, among others.
The Philippine booth was well-received by the French and other international event-goers, and manifested the appetite for Filipino cuisine in France.
The Fête de la Gastronomie a program of the French government that celebrates French cuisine, while International Gastronomy Village was a place for the international community in Paris to introduce their distinct culture through their countries’ traditional cuisine.
The International Gastronomy Village was open on 21-23 September 2018. END
