Golf Diplomacy in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO 09 October 2018 — The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco engaged in golf diplomacy as it joins a tournament with Filipino young leaders as part of its Spark*Connect*Empower (SCE) movement. Consul General Henry S. Bensurto, Jr., Consul André Peter C. Estanislao and other Consulate General personnel participated in the Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) golf tournament on 24 September 2018 held at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame, California.
The golf tournament is intended to support FYLPRO's mission to identify outstanding young professionals in the Filipino-American communities across the United States and send them to the Philippines for a week-long community immersion with the hope that they develop strong love of the country and participate in the nation-building.
