TORONTO 09 October 2018 — As part of the Department of Foreign Affairs’ assistance to Filipino overseas, the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto conducted a consular outreach program and overseas absentee voting registration in Leamington and Windsor, Ontario on 22-23 September 2018. 

Representatives from Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Pag-IBIG and Social Security System were also present during the two-day event. 

The Consulate General’s consular team rendered a total of 179 consular services, 73 in Leamington and 106 in Windsor, and included the processing of 103 ePassport applications and 17 notarial services. 

The team was also able to register and reactivate 100 overseas absentee voters for the 2019 Philippine Midterm Elections. A total of 23 dual citizenship applications were processed. END
