PRETORIA 21 September 2018 – To gather marker and trade information and assess feasibility of exporting Philippine products to Mozambique, the Philippine Embassy in Pretoria, in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry-Export Management Bureau, organized a Philippine Outbound Business Matching Mission in Maputo, Mozambique from 02 to 04 September 2018.

The delegation is composed of executives from Philippine companies engaged in the supply or manufacturing of office equipment, garments, consumer goods, IT equipment, coconut water, biscuits, banana chips, herbal products, and machinery.

The delegation attended the Feira Internacional de Mozambique (FACIM 2018) which gave them a comprehensive introduction to the Mozambican market. The delegates likewise met with the Mozambique Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which organized business matching activities.

To cap off the Mozambique leg of the mission, the delegation had a meeting with the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique. END
