PH Consulate General in Chicago Serves Fil-Ams in Iowa and Neighboring States

CHICAGO 10 October 2018 - A consular outreach, led by Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin, conducted a consular mission to deliver services to the Filipino community in Iowa and neighboring areas on 22-23 September 2018.
A total of 131 passport applications, 33 petitions for reacquisition or retention of Philippine citizenship, 95 overseas voting registration applications, and 18 other applications were processed.
Consul General Jamoralin pitched for more active Filipino-American participation in elections both in the U.S. and in the Philippines. She also encouraged the community to observe the Filipino American History Month in October with appropriate activities recalling the sacrifices and struggles of all Filipino immigrants and reflecting on their significant role in American society today.
